1. About CarVerity.ai

CarVerity.ai provides digital reliability assessments for UK vehicles using a combination of:

  • Official DVSA MOT history
  • DVLA vehicle enquiry data (where available)
  • Our own repair-cost and defect-pattern datasets
  • Our deterministic scoring methodology

The service is designed to support your decision-making when buying or evaluating a used vehicle. It is not a replacement for a mechanical inspection or professional advice.

2. Definitions

  • "We", "us", "our" refer to CarVerity Ltd.
  • "You", "your" refer to any user of CarVerity.ai.
  • "Report" means any reliability score, explanation, PDF or result generated by the platform.
  • "Digital content" refers to your CarVerity.ai reports, summaries or purchased bundles.
  • "External data sources" refers to DVSA, DVLA and other third-party services whose data is displayed.

3. When these terms apply

A binding contract forms between you and CarVerity Ltd when you:

  • Create an account
  • Generate a report
  • Purchase a report or bundle
  • Otherwise use the website

4. Eligibility

You must:

  • Be at least 16 years old
  • Use the service for lawful purposes
  • Provide accurate information when registering or purchasing

We may suspend or terminate your account if we believe these requirements are not met.

5. Your account

You are responsible for:

  • Keeping your login details secure
  • Any activity performed using your account
  • Ensuring your contact details remain accurate

You must not share your account with anyone else. We may suspend or restrict access if we suspect fraud, misuse, or unauthorised activity.

6. What you are buying (digital content)

CarVerity.ai provides digital content under the UK Consumer Rights Act 2015. This means:

  • Once a report is generated, your right to cancel does not apply, because digital content has been delivered.
  • You are entitled to a refund only if the digital content is faulty, misdescribed, or cannot be generated due to a technical failure.
  • If a report is successfully generated, it is usually non-refundable.

7. Payments, pricing and bundles

Payments for single reports or bundles are processed securely by Stripe. Prices:

  • Are shown in pounds sterling (GBP)
  • Include any applicable taxes
  • May change from time to time

A purchase is considered complete when Stripe confirms your payment and a report or credit bundle is successfully assigned to your account.

If you purchase a bundle, credits are added to your account immediately and may be used at any time while your account remains active.

Fraudulent payments, unauthorised card use or chargebacks may result in suspension or deletion of your account.

8. Licence to use CarVerity.ai reports

CarVerity Ltd grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the reports you generate.

You must not:

  • Resell, republish or commercially distribute reports without permission
  • Reverse-engineer, copy, or recreate our scoring logic or datasets
  • Train AI models using our outputs or data
  • Bulk-extract or scrape content
  • Generate derivative datasets from our reports

This licence ends when your account is deleted. All intellectual property rights in CarVerity.ai remain ours at all times.

9. Data sources and limitations

CarVerity.ai relies on external public data sources, including but not limited to:

  • DVSA MOT history
  • DVLA vehicle enquiry data
  • Public mileage and defect records
  • Aggregated repair-cost datasets

We do not control the accuracy or completeness of external data. Some vehicles (for example imports, very new vehicles or unusual histories) may have limited data. Missing or inaccurate government data may reduce report quality.

10. Refunds

Because CarVerity.ai provides digital content:

  • If a report was generated successfully, it is typically non-refundable.
  • If a genuine technical issue prevents a report from being generated, we will review your case and may issue a refund.

We do not issue refunds for:

  • Reports produced with incomplete or inaccurate third-party data
  • Misinterpretation of the score or explanation
  • Change of mind after purchase
  • Duplicate purchases caused by user error

If you believe a payment was incorrect, contact us at support@carverity.ai.

11. Acceptable use policy

You must use CarVerity.ai responsibly. You must not:

  • Attempt to copy, extract or scrape the scoring system or data
  • Use automated tools, bots or scripts to generate unlimited reports
  • Harm, overload or interfere with our servers
  • Use the service for illegal purposes
  • Use false, misleading or fraudulent registration numbers
  • Provide false identity or payment information
  • Circumvent security or access controls

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate this policy.

12. How AI is used

CarVerity.ai does not use AI to compute the reliability score.

AI is used only to generate a plain-English summary of the scoring result.

Important notes:

  • AI summaries may contain occasional inaccuracies
  • AI providers do not receive your name, email or full report history
  • Vehicle data may be temporarily processed to produce the summary
  • Data processed by the AI provider is not used to train public models

You must not rely on summaries as professional advice.

13. Service availability

We aim to keep the website available at all times, but we cannot guarantee:

  • Uninterrupted access
  • Freedom from errors
  • Availability during maintenance
  • Availability during failures of DVSA, DVLA, Stripe, Supabase, Vercel, OpenAI or other third-party providers

We may suspend or modify the service for maintenance, upgrades or security reasons.

14. Intellectual property

CarVerity Ltd owns all:

Website content
Logos and branding
Scoring logic
Repair-risk models

You gain no ownership rights by using the platform.

15. Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

  • We are not liable for losses resulting from reliance on reports, including financial loss, missed opportunities, vehicle defects or repair costs.
  • We do not guarantee that a vehicle will not go wrong.
  • We do not guarantee accuracy or availability of third-party data.
  • We are not responsible for indirect or consequential losses.

Nothing in these terms excludes liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, and your statutory rights under UK consumer law.
